Default Could use some assistance regarding a vintage Uni-vibe!

Hi there,

My name is Jeff, and I could use some assistance with a vintage Shin-Ei Uni-Vibe that I was gifted with this week.

I'm not a huge effects person, using usually just a few of the patches that I've got in my Valvetronix amp.... my days of using a pedalboard are long gone so that usually suits me. However, not one to look a gift horse in the mouth....

In somewhat brief, here's what it's doing/ not doing upon my initial tests:

Tele into Uni-Vibe, Uni-Vibe into Pathfinder amp (smallest amp I have, and easiest to set up as a test best, especially for something like this). Turn on the UV, powers up and lights up. Foot controller plugged in, switched to "chorus". No matter how far you turn up the "intensity" dial, all that is coming through is a normal clean signal from the Tele (no effect applied).

Then, selected the "vibrato" position on the switch. When that happened, I get no sound through the amp (you can still hear the amp itself on, though).

Pedal is seeming to do nothing at the moment (moving the treadle manually, since I'm missing one screw on the side of the top pedal portion), and I've sprayed all pots and the foot controller "cancel" switch. Still, operates exactly as before at the moment.

Anyone have any ideas/ recommendations? I will have to replace the missing foot pedal side screw with at least a compatible threaded one for now (and see if I can find a suitable correct replacement), but I'm lost when it comes to something like this...

Thanks for your time!

What are you using to power the pedal?

Edit: Never mind. These were AC powered and plug directly into the wall. Correct?
