Absolute best of all time for me is the Boss Dimension C. Lush, LUSH tones but rare now and expensive.
I like the Tortuga Effects Martini but I would struggle to find one that I prefer over my Carl Martin Classic Chorus & Vibrato, it was only about ?80.00 and is honestly a great sounding pedal. |

I'm sure it's not the BEST (TC Electronics makes some great stuff, and there there are some nice boutique pedals, to be sure). Also, I'm sure it's not the kind of thing people would search out, BUT I've used a good number and the one that keeps ending up on my pedalboard is a really cheap, early 90s Series10. I've replaced the wires and had to re-solder things over the years, but it's so perfect for what I expect of a Chorus.
Has over-ruled a few high-priced units, a couple of Boss', etc. Know that's not the kind info you're looking for. Just kind of saying that sometimes the unexpected great piece of gear isn't always the one with the biggest pricetag. |

A lot of the older Boss and Ibanez chorus pedals are really nice. Plus they are pretty small in size. I've used a modified CE-5 (the analog version) for years. I have an old CH-1 that is pretty nice also. The newer Boss ones tend to be digital so if that bothers you, grab an older one and they can be pretty cheap still.
The Small Clone is a decent chorus. It's bigger and doesn't seem as versatile as the Boss/Ibanez ones though. How much do you have to spend on it? That will help narrow down some recommendations.
